Soy wax vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. Soy Wax Flakes is perfect for candle making. They are specially formulated with hydrogenated soybean oil and soy based emulsifier for container candle use. The emulsifiers allow the soy to be poured at hotter temperatures.
 
It has a higher melting point (119-125°F) which enables the soy to retain a higher fragrance oil load to give a stronger scent throw. Additives such as coloring, fragrance oils or essential oils can be added to this material to create a unique finished product. Soy wax burns cleaner since it is a natural oil product versus the standard paraffin wax that is a petroleum byproduct which has been proven to emit toxins into the environment. The professional painters recommend burning soy wax candles over other waxes due to the clean burning effect that they have. Soy candles are a much more natural and environmentally friendly product causing few allergy problems. Soy Wax candles burn cooler which produces a longer burn time.
